A few clubs have noticed that they’re not seeing the most up-to-date posts on their Twitter feed anymore, in comparison to the Facebook / Instagram feeds.
X, formerly Twitter, has made a significant change in how it organises posts for logged-out users. Instead of displaying posts chronologically, they are now sorted by the number of likes they’ve received if you’re not logged in to Twitter on your device.
This change prioritises older, highly-liked posts over recent ones, even affecting pinned posts, which don’t appear at the top when logged out. The reason behind this shift is unclear, but it might be aimed at attracting more users by showcasing popular content to those not logged in.
Unfortunately we have no way to control this new change for non logged in users. In order to see posts in chronological order, you need to be logged into your X, formerly Twitter, account.
