How to Add

To add a new player to your website, please follow these steps:

• Login to your dashboard.
• From the left-hand menu, click Players.
• Click Add New.
• In the Title field, enter the player’s name.
• Under Player Details, fill out as much information as you can, including:
  • Date of Birth
  • Height and Weight
  • Featured Profile (toggle this on if you want the player to appear in the homepage featured player block)
  • Club Name * (you must already have clubs created in your Club Directory to select from)
  • Position, Debut, and Biography (include Honours & Sporting Heroes if desired)
  • Player Image * (ideal size: 300x300px; automatically cropped)
  • Occupation
  • X Handle and Instagram Handle (enter without URL or @)
• In the Teams box on the right-hand side, tick the team the player belongs to, or click + Add New Team to create a new one.
• If you’d like to save your progress without publishing, click Save Draft. To preview before publishing, click Preview.
• Once you’re happy with your player profile, click Publish.
• To unpublish a player later without deleting, change the Status to Draft and click Update.
• If you wish to reuse a player layout, you can click Copy to a new draft to clone the post.

Adding a New Team

• Teams are managed just like Categories in WordPress.
• To add a new team, go to Players → Teams in your dashboard.
• Click Add New Team, enter the Team Name, and click Add New Team to save.
• You can now assign players to this team from the player edit screen.
